Weekly Letter

Friends and family,

Elder Cowley and I have been staying pretty busy mainly doing service for others, mainly raking leaves. I guess the price of the beautiful green colors in the summer is a ton of leaves to rake during the fall. It is amazing as we lose ourselves in the service of others things go by so much faster! Also it is also important to remember that as we are serving others we are also serving our God. So look for opportunities to serve!!!

On Monday we were able to meet with one of our progressing investigators, Betty, she is such a sweet lady. She is on date to get baptized on December 28th. But she has to overcome some road blocks in her way before she can get baptized. We believe that she can do it, she just needs to believe in her self. This reminds me so much of the fact that we were sent down to earth to return to our Heavenly Father, He knew that we could do it and so did we. But sometimes it's hard to look past the things of this world or to get caught up in our trials. But the important thing is that we need to believe in ourselves if we want to get any where.

On Friday and Saturday I went on exchanges, I stayed here in Rocky Mount while our district leader, Elder Kamauu, came up and spent the day with me. It was fun, I was able to learn a ton from him and we were able to get quite a lot done.

We picked up a new investigator this week as well, Ms. Osborne, her son is out on a mission and we were contacted by him and he told us that we should go and see his mom. We were able to teach her the first lesson and she committed to reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it.

Other than that is was a pretty slow week as far as missionary work goes. I guess some times we have those to help us appreciate the good ones. The weather is starting to get colder. Actually wayyy colder. But tis the season I guess.

I hope everything is going well!
