This week has been fantastic! The work is defiantly starting to pick up here!
This week was fairly eventful. We were able to meet with a ton of less active members and recent converts. We were able to help uplift them and help them realize the light of Christ in their life's. We were also able to meet with one of our progressing investigators, Betty, she is great! She wants to be baptized and has a date set for December 28th! She just needs to quit smoking and than she's ready! When we met with her on Thursday we asked her to give us her cigarettes so they wouldn't be a temptation. She immediately got up went to the kitchen, and gave us her pack of cigarettes. However she called us the next morning and asked us for them back. So we had to give them back. But it showed us that she wants to quit!
This week we also were able to help out the Doss family, they are recent converts but due to certain circumstances they have been less active. At the beginning of the week he gave us a call and asked if we could come over and see them. When we got there he told us what they were struggling with and that they had a desire to come back to church. through out the week we were able to help them turn their problems over to the Lord through helping them realize the importance of prayer. It was hard for them because the are a young family with a new born child. But They were able to muster together the faith to turn their problems over to the Lord. They were at church on Sunday and after church we went to go see them. It was extremely rewarding to see the difference in them from the beginning of the week to now. It was a complete night and day difference. They were so much more happy and just had a new light about them that was indescribable.
From these two experiences I was able to gain a strong testimony that if we have faith and turn our problems over to the Lord and align our will with his he will make our weaknesses become strengths.
I love you all! Thank you all so much for your love and support!
