December 29, 2014

Friends and Family,

Well, what can I say. Christmas was absolutely amazing! The only bad part about it was that it had to end! But I guess that's what makes Christmas special is the fact that it only happens once a year. As I have said earlier, Christmas as a missionary is great! I loved every single second of it. And thanks to everyone back home who made it special!

Well that miracle that we had last week quickly turned out to be a disappointment. She said that she is going through a lot with her friends, and that her friends don't want her to meet with us. We are still working with her but it will defiantly be a work in progress. If anything, it has taught me the difference between disappointment and discouragement. Disappointment is an alright thing to have, in fact I would even go as far to say that as humans we are expected to feel disappointment. However discouragement can only bring us down and prohibit any progression we are capable of making.

This week is New Years! What a wonderful time it is to reflect on the events of the past year and look forward to the next. With the start of the new year we have the chance to "start off fresh." So as all of you go about making your New Year's resolutions remember that we can be capable of anything we set our minds to. And when disappointment comes our way, it is important to keep discouragement out of our life's and try our hardest until we get it right.

I love you all and I wish you the best this New Years holiday!
