Catching Up

This is Mary.  I knew I had some catching up to do on posting Nathan's weekly letters, but has it really been since Christmas that I updated his blog?  Wow.

I have a long list of excuses, but I'd rather tell a story.  I have a box with a straggler Christmas gift I was supposed to mail to Nathan in January.  I decided to add some healthy snacks he had requested, and some vitamins I send him.  Weeks went by, and each week I fully intended for Nate's package to be at the top of my to-do list, but somehow there was always tomorrow, and always the next week...  Then it was only a week away from transfers so if I sent it to his old address, and he was transferred, he wouldn't get it until later.  After he was transferred, I realized it was almost Easter, so I should include some Easter candy and items in his package also.  (A post-Christmas package and an Easter package all in one.  Why not?)  A few weeks ago, Nathan told me in his email to me that I needed to hire someone to send his package.  Nathan is a very patient guy.  If he was even hinting that he'd given up on me ever sending it, that meant he really was giving up.  So, last Monday I mailed his package!

Maybe I need to hire someone to post his emails to his blog also.  (But he doesn't know about that part, so I won't tell him.)

So guess what I'll be working on this afternoon?
