One Twelfth of the Way Done...

Every week while Nathan is doing his laundry, he writes a handwritten letter to us also.  His own insights about the work he is doing, and the frustrations and set-backs are inspiring to read.  He manages to stay positive, even when things get discouraging.

Friends and family,

Things are going great, as usual, I can't ask for a better place to be! 

This week was pretty interesting. We met a guy named Randall. He is the nicest guy ever! I don't think he has a bad bone in him at all! He has some mental disabilities that make it nearly impossible to teach him. But we were able to share with him the Finding Faith in Christ DVD and he was able to catch on to the concept of Christ. He said he also wants to come to church so we'll see how that goes.  

This past week we were also able to attend the Folk Life Festival in Ferrum ( a town in Franklin County). It was a blast! We were able to talk to a ton of different people about the gospel and were able to hand out thirty or forty pass along cards. The whole county was there. It was a great time. 

Today marks my two month mark. It is so hard to believe. Time is just soaring by. It is so hard to believe that I have been out for two months. It seems like last week I got here. 

As we are entering into the holiday season I would encourage you all to look for opportunities to serve others. They are every where.
