Happy Halloween!
This week was pretty great.
For P-day we went on a hike with a member, Brother Wilkins, he is the nicest man ever. Wednesday the Taco Bell opened, so of course we had to go to that. Wednesday was also the church Halloween social. That was a blast. In each room there was some sort of activity or game.
Elder Cowley and I were in charge of a room. Friday we went to Roanoke for a mission conference.
The whole entire southern half of the mission was there. At the conference An area of the seventy talked to us. Elder Renlund and his wife spoke to us. They both made great points and they both did a wonderful job!
This week we started teaching a new investigator, Maggie and her daughter Melinda. They are both from China and don't speak very much English so it's difficult to teach them at times but we're just taking it one step at a time. They just moved here and got a place to live. They don't have much at all. They are probably some of the most humble people ever. In our discussions with them this week we focused on prayer. At the end of our visit on Friday Brother Wilkins asked Maggie which one of us she would like to say the prayer. I felt the strong impression that I should ask her to say the prayer. It took some encouragement but she said the prayer. It was phenomenal. Never before had she prayed in her life. She thanked the Lord for every thing that she had. Than she thanked the Lord for "Jarman and Cowley, and Greg." As she did she began to get emotional and I knew that she felt the spirit of the Lord. It is moments like those that I will treasure.
Also Randall came to church yesterday! Even though you could tell he didn't understand what was going on, you could tell that he felt the spirit. Afterwards he said that he loved meeting every one and that he had a good time.
I love you all! Thanks for every thing!
-Elder Jarman
