January 20, 2015

Friends and family,

Things are going quite well as usual. We have been seeing success with our investigators and with those who we have come in contact with. I believe the key to it all has been to look past the hard times and focus on the good ones. I have learned that it is all about how we see things. We could be going through the hardest point in our life and it seems virtually hopeless. But we are promised in the scriptures and by prophets that so long as we are obedient to the laws of the land and to the laws of heaven there will always be light in our life, even when we have hit the lowest of lows, there will always be light. Even if it is just a small speck of light, there will always be light. And all light comes by and comes through our Savior Jesus Christ. So in a way, as we keep Christ in our life's it will be impossible for us to not have that light with us at all times.

It was sad to see Elder Cowley leave. But the past few days with Elder Combe have been nothing shy of a good time! We have been able to work hard while having fun! He is from Boise, Idaho and has been out for twenty months, so he only has four months left to go! I am so glad that I get to stay here in Rocky Mount. This place is easily the happiest place on earth, even happier than Disney Land... I guess it all comes back to the concept that life is what you make it. We can choose to be happy or we can choose to be discouraged.

I love you and miss you all! Thank you all for every thing. Have a blessed day!

- Elder Jarman
