Friend and Family,
Things are going great!
Last week was my first week in my new area, Beckley, West Virginia! It is a great place with tons of great people and a great culture! It was super sad to leave Rocky Mount. I am thankful that I was able to serve there for the first six months of my mission and I am thankful for the relationships that I was able to make and for the people I was able to meet.
There is a ton of potential for success here in Beckley! I am so excited to work here and work with my new companion Elder Ence. He came out the same time that I did so he has been out for only six months as well. He is a great missionary, and so far a pretty good friend! We are living with another set of missionaries, Elder Caldwell and Elder Payne. They are great guys as well!
Lately I have been studying the New Testament. It's interesting to read through the different accounts of that Saviors life and ponder what it must have been like for him to endure what he did, all because he loves us. It is definatly motivation for me to do my best and to try and be more Christ like in all that I do and say. It's hard to do, but that's what the Atonement is for. It is there to give us those opportunities to become better.
Thank you guys for every thing! Have a blessed day!
- Elder Jarman
